Mechanical Engineering Contractor.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent mechanical design experience.
- Proficiency using SolidWorks, with emphasis on low-power mechanisms.
- Knowledge of SLAs, micro-pumping, infusion pumps, medical devices is desirable.
The CoreMD and "wedges" electronic hardware designs have already been completed. You will work closely with hardware and software engineering senior management in fine-tuning and prototyping (SLA) its pumping mecahnism design, making re-design suggestions to save power/space, and capturing that design in SoliWorks. You will then test the SLA and re-design it if needed.
Pancreum currently has very limited resources. We are trying to demonstrate the CoreMD and its 3 "wedges" to potential venture capital investment firms, secure funding and be able to hire our engineering, marketing and regulatory staff. We are looking for volunteers willing to work "pro bono" (free of charge). You will be working on a patented revolutionizing design of a wearable, modular, expandable artificial pancreas' reusable "brain" and its disposable peripheral "modules". Nothing like it exists in the market today. This product has the potential to improve the lives of millions of people with diabetes.
